Hi. This is Alex Robinson welcoming you to my new blog, a place where I can leave handy health tips and updates on exercise techniques, as well as a place to share my adventures with you.
We all know that exercise and nutrition have tremendous health benefits for both our bodies and our minds. Realistically though, few of us have the time or energy to put fitness at the top of our to-do list. This is where I come in. Let me motivate you to a fit way of living.
As a trainer, I understand that the demands of everyday life never quite align themselves with our fitness goals. Sure, you belong to a gym, and you may even spend an hour or so a day there. That's excellent. But what really counts is the other 23 hours a day that you're outside the gym.
Those other 23 hours can, and often do, have more of an influence over your body, mind, and soul than the one hour a day you spend at the gym. Outside of the gym, are you sleeping well? Are you eating nutritious food (it's the truth, we are what we eat)? Are you under a lot of stress? How you answer these and other questions heavily influence the type of fitness program that's right for you.
For over twenty years, I have been a devotee to, and practitioner of fitness. The last five of those years, I've been training individuals both in a gym setting, and privately, in the comfort of their own homes.
What's important to my clients is what's important to me. I design a workout plan for each client that matches their lifestyle and the results they desire. Once they've implemented the plan, my mission is to keep them motivated, energized, focused and happy about working out. When I intend to impart to each and every client are the tools, skills, and information necessary to make fitness a practical and integral part of their lives, even when they no longer desire a personal trainer.
Having studied workout techniques continuously for the past twenty years, I know the importance of working out efficiently, with correct form, posture, and technique. I also know how to prevent workout related injuries that can occur on the way to achieving one's fitness goals. I work with people of all ages and skill levels, from athletes, to first timers, to seniors.
I have a passion for leading an active life, from cycling, hiking and backpacking the wilderness of California. Nothing thrills me more than having some of that passion rub off on my clients.
